1. Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted and sit erect with your back supported and your feet on the floor. You don’t want to be too comfortable or you may sleep. You do want to close your eyes.
2. Use headphones. Remember the CD will not work without headphones. Use the best quality headphones you can get. Those that seal off your ears are best.
3. Set the volume just high enough to block out ambient noises. Experiment.
4. Let your mind go and just listen for the first seven minutes or so. Then start to just notice where your mind goes. Let each thought flutter by as if it’s a moth. Give thoughts only passing interest and return your mind to the sounds you are hearing.
5. As the track finishes after 22 minutes, slowly open your eyes. Turn off the CD player and slowly re-engage your world. Feeling slightly groggy is okay.

What is MEDITATION? Meditation is a portal to another dimension, a door to the universal matrix of consciousness, a window to God-realization. Meditation is limitless space-time. The experience of meditation is subtle, yet powerful. It can be a transforming experience if you let it. Most of our daily consciousness is spent in quotidian mental chatter. The monkey in our head is making constant noise and the signal is lost. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could clear the noise and experience only the signal? We can. The ability is within all of us. Meditation is not difficult. You can begin to control your chattering monkey by engaging in this simple exercise. 1. Find a quiet place. Sit with your spine erect. Close your eyes. Relax your tongue (this actually helps stop internal chatter). Breathe through your nose. Place your hands in your lap with the back of your right hand resting on the palm of your left hand. 2. Maintaining erect posture, allow your eyes to focus on the space between them. Focus your mind on the space within your head. Feel the air entering and leaving your nose. 3. As you notice your mind wandering, say to yourself, “There goes monkey” and gently bring your mind back to the space within your head. You can expect your mind to wander. 4. Spend a few minutes and then notice the space within your neck, shoulders, chest, arms, legs, etc. all the way down to your toes. Just notice the space within your skin as a volume of emptiness. 5. After 20 minutes or so, gradually open your eyes and become aware again of your surroundings. Gradually, as you practice this daily, you will be able to sustain a relaxed focus for a longer period of time. You are training yourself to be present. Yesterday is the past; tomorrow is the future; today is a gift. That is why it is called the present. What greater gift can you give to yourself than to be present? It changes everything! Being present makes us available to ourselves and to our loved ones. Meditation teaches us how to be present.

EXTENDED MEDITATION is something I try to do at least once or twice a week. By extended I mean 45 minutes or so. It really goes by quickly and you can get into deep theta rhythms that are very relaxing. My wife says I am sleeping when doing this but I am aware of birds singing outside, my cat scratching the litter in the litter box, the mailman dropping letter in our box, etc. I am very mindful of my surroundings mentally, yet as one of my CD users has said “my body is asleep.” The most noticeable feeling is that my chest area seems to feel indescribably peaceful. Occasionally my muscles will twitch somewhat spasmodically as stress is released. Muscle tension evaporates. Heart rate plummets. It’s like getting an extra two hours of sleep.
So when you have time, listen to Tracks One AND Two for an extended meditation experience or listen to any of the three tracks twice on autorepeat. You’ll feel the difference.

Since I began meditation, my life has changed dramatically. To master the basic techniques is sufficient to get you “hooked for life”. Fortunately, i live in a place of magnificent tranquilitywhich does help a lot…..Best regards…Mike
